"Waimea Baby" - Tracking and some commentary

Post by James Steele »

A little tune I'm working on called "Waimea Baby"... tracking in DP of course. I do some explanation about the song in the beginning and do a live pass through at the vocals. My Facebook friends are getting a kick out of it.

I thoroughly enjoyed that, James. Great guitar sounds and playing and nice mix! and a very catchy hook. I like your singing voice. I always wished I could rock-scream like that but never could. Appreciated the humor and you playing to the camera. You ham, you.

Thanks for sharing that. A lot of the time you have to come on here and police the forum and that's all we see of you, so it's nice to see you having fun and enjoying doing your music.

Hello forum.

James, nicely done and mixed.
Looks like you had a lot of fun putting it together, too.

I really liked the section at 3:08 where you brought it down with that 50ish style and then, back up again... Well thought out.
On top of that, you have very powerful voice. I didn't know you could sing that high.

Well DONE!

James,
My wife and I just got back from a wonderful 9 day trip to Kaua'i. We stayed in Kapa'a and traveled all over the island. What a wonderful place! Took an all day boat tour out of Waimea with a great guy (Capt. Mike) and saw some tiger sharks. Met some locals and made some new long distance friends. Shaka...
