Roland V-drums & DP

Post by garby »

I've been looking at the Roland V-Drums TD 4KX2 series (the ones with mesh heads), and wondered if anyone is using them with DP and EzDrummer or similar? Any problem with triggering the samples or latency issues? Thanks for any feedback.

I use DP with Superior Drummer (MIDI map set to 'e-drums') and a Roland V drum set - the MIDI out into my MOTU 828mk3. Works great with the buffer set to 128.
MacBook Pro 2021 (M1 Ultra) with 64 gigs RAM. DP 11.23

Great!

One thing I can't find is any setting (the MIDI map set to e-drums) for EzDrummer? I thought I had seen it before but now I can't find it.

Also I would only need a single MIDI to USB converter, any inexpensive recommendations that work? I have seen ones like M-Audio Uno, or a Roland Cakewalk one.
