I'm attempting to use a UL MK3 as a DJ interface, hooked directly to powered monitors. I'm running Traktor as well as Maschine software. I'm trying to meter and mix elements in CueMix ... and I have to confess it confuses me completely ...
I can't understand the signal flow, how to meter things and the meter levels just don't make sense ... also the only way I can control the main out level is to have 'monitor' on and adjust monitor level ... Meters drop accordingly on 'MainOut1-2' yet my 'phone1-2' meters at unity regardless of adjusting the level ..?.?
And other odd things ... while Maschine is outputting at 0dB to 'MainOut1-2', Cuemix shows nothing on meters for 'MainOut1-2', but I can see signal metering on the EQ window at low levels... obviously I'm lost ....
Where can I find a walk through tutorial or helpful info to understand how I should be working this thing. I know it shouldn't be tricky ... all I'm trying to do is monitor a couple of stereo streams from my laptop and with an independent h/phone send. I'd be grateful for any advice ...
before i'm asked to RTFM .. i've had a look at relevant sections and can't the info i need to make sense of the signal flow or gain structure ... just specific instructions for steinberg software .... nothing about monitoring multiple streams from computer ...

I'm not sure if this forum will let you search for messages by a particular user, but if so, I once answered a question where I explained the MOTU in terms of a traditional mixer. See if you can find that. If not, I think I have a copy I saved on my hard drive. You could PM me for it.
