I was getting terrible lag/timing when playing in MIDI along with controller data(mod wheel) into DP, and quite a few crashes, so I decided to look at Console. Opening it up I found two processes continually recurring every 10 seconds...whether I was using DP or not. In fact they had nothing to do with DP.

One process was this:
com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.InternetSharing[45246]) Exited with exit code: 1
com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.InternetSharing) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

the other was this:
com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[218] (com.seagate.notificationexec.plist) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

Both these kept happening every 10 seconds which I very cleverly concluded was not good so I googled them.

Found this page
http://tumblr.themadness.org/post/44672 ... ing-errors" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;"
which covered the first process, and this page
http://forums.dealmac.com/read.php?4,2873737" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;"
which covered the second, which seems to be some crappy software installed by Seagate at some time in the past.

Anyhow I managed to kill both problems by following the steps. And DP does seem to be working better, the MIDI lag is gone at the moment.

Some others that have been having problems might find this info useful.

I haven't had this problem, but this is good info. Just for the heck of it I checked and I DID have a Seagate Plist file on my HD. Now that's crazy, I've never had a Seagate drive on this system. Now trashed. Didn't find the other files mentioned. Thanks for the post. 8)
