Is there a list of MOTU recommended Firewire cards for Win7 64bit? I just went through a lengthy ordeal with Maudio to figure out that there are only certain cards that will work with Windows7.
So, who uses Windows 7 64bit and an 896mk3 and it works? What firewire card would you recommend?
I have a TI chipset FW card and Windows 7 and my profire 2626 didn't like it. Maybe my MK3 isn't so particular but if it doesn't work, I'd like to have some options before I start buying firewire cards willie nillie.

I just got a recommended card for my maudio profire interface. I think it's not express. I'll see how it goes. I don't think I have any express slots available. but whatever! what's recommended in either format?

Re: Recommended Firewire PCI Card for 896MK3
I have tested Texas Instruments and VIA ExpressCard for the MOTU 896 MK3. VIA has the best results (SWEEX FW022), so I already have no the best performance possible. I can't set a lower buffer size than 1024 to work without pops and dropouts. I have Windows 7 64 bits, Intel Core i7, 1.66 Ghz, 8 GB RAM... It seems impossible I can't working at 128 samples at 96Khz/24 bits with this hardware on my laptop PC.

I've used my MOTU Ultralite Hybrid with two different firewire chips, both made by TI, and it worked with both. I suspect you're good to go.
