I'm not sure whether this is just a fact of life, or whether it is an issue, but my 828mkII is the only sound device on my PC and when I set it to 96khz in the audio console, neither system audio nor application audio that uses 44.1 will function (unless I set it back to 44.1). iTunes is a good example. 96khz-capable audio apps such as Cubase and J. River Media Center work fine.
If this is not how it's supposed to be, does anyone know a fix? And if not, is there any way to get the MOTU ASIO to toggle automatically depending on the application? Wishful thinking, I know, but I thought I'd ask.
Thanks.
Can't get system audio when 828mkII is set to 96khz
