DP can not find plugins.
I just upgraded my computer from a Powermac to a Mac Pro and reinstalled all of the plugins that I still had disc for. Now DP can't find the plugins. If l look in the HD, Library, Audio, Plugin, and VST I can see the files there. When loading DP 6.03 I can see Altiverb loading and a VST folder that I do not recognize, VST WrapperX there but none of the plugins load. I had searched my computer to see if I could find the Wrapper X file somewhere but I could not. What should I do?
Thanks
Thanks

Hi
You can scan all the AU components again by deleting the Audio Unit Info Cache.
The Audio Unit Info Cache is in the:
User Library/Preferences/Digital Performer™ folder.

Re: DP can not find plugins.
Thank you for the reply but unfortunately that did not help.

The AU plug-ins go here: Mac HD/Library/Audio/Plugins/Components. Did you
look there?
Also, it's generally a bad idea to just copy the plug-ins over - you really
need to re-install all of them again. Before you do that,
go to Mac HD/Library/Receipts and delete any ".pkg" file that is related to
any plug-ins.

Re: DP can not find plugins.
The plugins are in that file you suggested, and I did do a reinstall for the plugins.

That's pretty bizarre, then. Probably time to call MOTU tech support - orscott dansby wrote:The plugins are in that file you suggested, and I did do a reinstall for the plugins.
better yet, you should upgrade to DP 7x. DP 7 is what DP6 was "supposed to be". There is no reason not to make the move.
A fresh install of DP 7 should cure the whole thing.
