Hot mail not so good any more

Post by twistedtom »

Years back I made hot mail my main email account as no matter where I moved it would be there. It used to work fine but now some times it is very slow or will not even respond. It does this in Firefox, Safari and Chrome so it is not a browser related problem. I hear G mail works good but so many of my contacts have my Hot Mail address that it would be difficult to let them all know I changed my email address. I am going to try Gmail any ways, even if I have to keep Hot Mail. Are other people having the same problem with Hot Mail?

There should be ways for Gmail to import your contacts from Hotmail and you can most probably forward you Hotmails to your new address. So even if they don't remember to send to your new address, you'll get them. Eventually they'll learn if you keep replying from the new address ;-)

Gmail tis the bomb.

With over 7.5 gig of storage and heaps of apps there is no reason to use HM.

I've had my gmail account since the 1st week it was released (05 I think) and it's worked incredibly well throughout that time.

It's always good to change your email address every few years at least because no matter what, you'll get tons of spam eventually. All you have to do is BCC all your contacts the new email.

Never was.

I am not a fan of Gmail either. I use it at work but would never allow my home email to run it. I pay to host my email and use the Mac Mail client and am OK with that.
