Good thing is, I think there's a demo period where you can use it to try it out. That might be long enough for you to make the movie of the problem you're describing.
I use it to capture visualisers in iTunes for use as visuals for large LED screen installations for live gigs, and it is brilliant.... worth every penny/cent!!!

Thanks!
Downloaded and when get back to the studio I'll check out the manual and see if I can capture a short video of the graphics issue.
Then I need to see how to post it or create a link to it's location.

I like Viola, but I don't know if it is the best. I picked it up for $20 (or less) in a promotion earlier this year. My main complaint is that I can't trim or edit video before exporting it. Can you do this with Snapz Pro?
I would like a video capture software program where I can immediately REMOVE portions in the middle of a clip, and then trim the beginnings and ends without having to export the capture and go through hoops.
Any recommendations on the quickest way to cut video from the middle of an existing clip? I tried using iMovie, and then gave up before I had figured it out.

c-ya,

I'm glad you said that, Dan. We've long taken for granted what OSX has to offer without realizing all that it has to offer. It may not do "everything", but it may do enough-- and that may be a lot more than people realize at first glance.

I just tried it out, but unless I am missing something, you cannot choose an area of the screen to capture... it captures the full screen. That is not very useful when you are just trying to zero in on something particular, like a YouTube video, or whatever else.
With Viola you draw a marque around the area of the screen you want to capture before you start recording. That's definitely essential for keeping file sizes small and subject matter to the point.
