When I load ram intensive sounds, I get pops from the samples during playback. I have a G4 1.67 Powerbook with 1 gig of ram. I have also tried higher buffer setting to fix this problem. But at the higher settings the latency is too much. Specifically I have noticed this when I assign two sounds to one key map. I have a few questions.
1. Would splitting large sampled sounds through the key range function cause pop's?
2. Is there any setting in Mach V for improving the overall performance?
3. If I bump up my ram to 2 gigs will that help the overall performance of Mach V?
4. Where do you see how the amount of samples are affecting your processor? Is there a meter besides your DAW's performance monitor? Is there a localized mach V ram monitor?
