Super quiet Hardware Raid?

Post by rosindabow »

Every drive I have (and I have about 20) has a backup now and I run SuperDuper to back each one up. I would like to set up some Raid 1 arrays so that I am not constantly having to remember to back up my material. I don't like Time Machine, I've tried it and it got in the way f some of my other programs. So, does anyone know of a super-quiet dual SATA Raid array? I looked at this one: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/IcyDock/MB662USEB2S/ It runs at approximately -18db at it's loudest which will probably not work. I don't have an iso-rack. But I contacted the manufacturer and he said that there is a vari-speed on the unit so I can probably make it a bit quieter. Any other suggestions? Thanks.
