Anyone Use Digi hardware?

Post by minimoog »

I was wondering if there are any guys that have had success using the Eleven Rack unit or Digi 003 with DP.

love to hear if it works.

If you're using the USB outs on the 11 Rack to feed audio into DP (or any DAW for that matter) then the levels will be lower than other tracks you may have. That's by design according to Avid supposedly to account for re-amping levels and the fact there's no input gain control to tame down high output levels from pickups. I've been trying out an 11R with DP6 and feeding the audio that way is clean but I ain't happy with the level mismatch. Instead I just feed the audio via the rig outputs into my Apogee Duet.

You don't need PT for basic use of the 11R as an amp sim box. It's ProTools le that comes with the 11R.

A bummer for me and sone others - no bass amp models yet. I'd also like to be able to use this with my Jazz Bass but with this omission it isn't a goer for me.

For the stuff it has it's okay. Feeding the out into the front end of a regular guitar amp really messes with the sound. Using the fx loop input on my DSL401 for amplification. To get real onstage use with this beast one needs the VooDoo Labs Ground Control Pro pedal board. The 11R doesn't play nice though with my wah pedal - a Teese RMC3. Something about the impedance loading with an unbuffered pedal (which is what my Wah is). What I'd really like to do would be to A/B it against an Axe-FX Ultra.

I’ve been using an 002R for quite a while. Works fine.
