Hi folks
I'm a newby so I am seeking some info on a setup I did.
On page 35 of the owners manual of the Motu MachFive 2, they are talking about a "satellite setup".
Since my first setup didn't work out(Cubase5 and MachFive2 as a plugin on the same computer) I decided to try this satellite setup and it worked out fine.
Gear setup:
-Cubase 5 on a Mac mini
-M-audio midisport 2x2
-Motu Ultralite
-Motu 828MkII
-MachFive 2 on a Imac G5
The two interfaces are hooked on the Imac G5
The only problem I'm having is that I want to use my two audio Interfaces (Motu Ultralite & Motu828MKII)so I can have more analog outputs (16 total)at the same time on the MachFive2.
But I noticed that MachFive2 as a stand alone can only be assigned to one audio interface at the time(see page 37) and there is no way to open a second MachFive application so I can assign the other interface to it.
My question is:
-Is there a way to open a second MachFive2 application on one computer?
-If not is there a way around it or do I have to install MachFive2 on a third computer with the second audio interface on it?
-if so will the ilok allow me to use MachFive as a stand alone on both computers in this setup?
Thanks for any given advice and keep up the good work in here!

It proofs that forums do help out.
Thanks for the valuable information you give me.
It saved me a lot of time and it made my quest so easy.
I'm only a couple of months in to Mac and again it proved to be the right choice of tool when it comes down working with audio.
After using PC for audio for years I can conclude that the Mac is more
stable and audio device friendly than I ever thought.Wish I had swapped sooner.
Viva la Mac
