Connecting a 896 and 828 via Lightpipe

Post by Maxx »

Does anyone know how to configure/connect an old 828 connected with a 896 via ADAT lightpipe? (in DP)

Got it working using Firewire cable - but can't seem to get it working with ADAT connection.

Thanks,
Max

The original 828 and original 896 have no standalone routing or mixing capabilities, which means they can not be used as standalone A/D or D/A converters. You must connect both interfaces to the computer by FireWire. The 828 could be daisy-chained to the 896 because the 896 has two FireWire ports.
The leading cause of wrong answers is asking the wrong questions.
