Can't Import any sample whatsoever

Post by Fladlien »

running it through pro tools on mac osx. First tried eh simple drag and drop method. Nope. Then I tried to command double click on the mapper-grid and nothing worked. So then I just selected the "add sample tool" and alls it did was highlight the box, but no prompt came up to import a sample or anything. So I tried to outsmart this darned thing but just saving the wav file that I want to import under my new soundbank that I had created for thie file. But nope, my plans are thwarted again. What is going on here? Thanks you for reading.

Make sure the sample is in a root folder that doesn't have ANY... ANY strange characters in it (basic text titling is best). In addition, make sure the samples follow the same drill.

I believe that underscores "_" and dashes "-" are 2 things you can use, but I'd advise against it.

This is what causes people import problems...

Also, Motu has admitting that you can't drag a stereo sample in from the sound bytes window. How lame is that? It's a DP issue, because it actually works on other platforms.

Anyway... Good luck...
