I miss the good ole days when I was recording a cue that would be immediately followed by a cue I was not recording. I could set up to "solo" only the tracks I needed that were the final sustained sounds of the outgoing cue that I was recording. I could then start recording and hit solo near the end of the cue and DP would solo the MIDI tracks I wanted without interrupting playback or recording or reverb tails! This was years ago and they have never got it working like that ever since!
Maybe there is a work around with auto-MIDI muting but when you're dealing with 150 MIDI tracks and a tight deadline, that seems a little complex to delve into (and potentially problematic if you lose track of what is being auto-muted).
It used to be really quick and easy to do it manually with the mute button.
I REALLY MISS THAT FEATURE!

But I don't get it: what is it exactly what prevents you now from using the Solo mode like you were used to?

Re: Seamless Solo
it isn't instantaneous and it glitches the reverb on the tracks that are put into solo.

You don't even mention what DP version you are using now (and before).
Older DP versions (4.x) had this switch called "Mute Frees system resources". Are you sure you don't have it on? That could be your culprit.
Having said that, unsoloing and soloing work perfectly here.
What kind of glitch are you experiencing with the reverb tracks? You gotta tell us more and be more specific if you want help.
