Couldn't find that information anywhere. Where was that posted? Meanwhile,
my i-Lok FGX demo license days are slipping by, seven days without an
answer of any kind from Slate. That's just sad. Doesn't give me very much
confidence in their products.

FWIW, and for giggles, maybe try posting this over on Gearslutz in the FGX thread. They at least owe you another demo period (if you remain interested :) )

Here's another more specific post with a time frame. #458 page 10

Unfortunately 3 weeks in Slate time usually means a couple of months.

I just have EX- from the no brainer. I'm using the metal hybrid and it seems fine. It seems weird that it would be a snow leopard thing. Does K4's mixer look the same to you as 3.5?
Sorry... took a while to get back to you. No... you can see the peaking in the mixer within K4.1. The kick drum is peaking, even though it doesn't seem loud. It's fine though when loaded into K3.5.

I made a quicktime movie to show exactly what's happening. I have the Steven Slate Drums kit called "Modern Rock Kit" from "Essential Rock/Pop Volume 2" loaded into an instance of Kontakt 3.5 and an instance of Kontakt 4.1. I have done nothing but load this multi into both K3.5 and K4.1. I start playback of the sequence with a MIDI track containing a drum part assigned to Kontakt 3.5 and you can see that the levels look normal in the mixing board channel "Kontakt3-1". While DP is playing back, I change the assignment of that MIDI track to Kontakt 4.1 and you will see on the mixing board that the channel for "Kontakt4-1" starts pegging. I left out audio on this movie, but it's happening on the kick drum because in Kontakt 4.1's own mixer, the kick drum randomly pegs and goes into the red.

I'm going to post a link to this movie in my thread over at Steven Slate Drums and maybe they can follow up, but if you can load "Modern Rock Kit" from "Essential Rock/Pop Volume 2" perhaps you can reproduce this. Perhaps it's just a certain velocity level that is causing this?

James do you know if this issue ever got resolved with Kontakt 4.1.1 or are we still waiting for a fix on it?

LOL! Easy solution: Take 'em off and be sure to mix naked - all those layers of linen colour the sound anyway through fairly broad-spectrum HF absorption. :?
