Just mailed in for my free upgrade. BTW, Record is a blast. Not anywhere as deep and feature-filled as DP, mind you, but it's a quick and dirty way to throw down some ideas. :dance:

Just received the Reason 5 box!
BTW I'm so used to DP now, that it has turned into my fastest sketching tool, even with very small projects. That's why I've skipped Record. Reason has always been only a fine *Rewire VI rack* in my setup.
Of course, I guess you must have different experiences.

I'm definitely not at that point with DP. I just started using Macs about 2 years ago, so it's a whole new ballgame for me. I'm sure I'll be there at some point. I've always used Reason, so it was kind of a natural progression.

Reason 5 does look cool. Can't wait to get it......

I use both - unless I am missing something with DP, Record is very easy to use for slowing down or speeding up audio (you have to come out of Rewire though)- and you get the ability to have side by side racks rather than one long one with Reason. Plus its easy to switch MIDI and audio between both programs - so often I'll work out a drum rhythm in Record (with say Redrum) and then copy the MIDI over to DP. DP is the main program but Record is really good to have in Rewire.

:oops: I am really having a love affair with record. I have not used dp in a while. Like some others have mentioned, I used reason a lot, so the two just make sense together. Record is obviously not in the same league as dp, but it sure is a lot of low cpu induced fun.
I just installed reason 5, excited to give that a go as well.
