Motu 2408 - expanding with a 1224-

hi everybody!

I have a 324 pci with a 2408 MKII on my sistem and i recently bought a 1224 expansion.

Reading the manual the installation should have been as simple as plugging the audiowire cable but I seem to cant get the system recognize more than one card at time if I turn on both the 2408 and the 1224 only the 2408 works, if I turn on one of the the 2 cards it works without a problem both for the 2408 and also for the 1224.

I tried to uninstall everything and reinstall it again but I can't find no way to get the antire system to work, in the motu console only 1 card at time is available.

Does anybody know why does this happens?
the 2408 core system used to work perfectly (and of course it still do) so it shouldn't be a compatibility issue!!

P.S.: I trie with the search button but can't find anyone in my situation!

You say "more than one card." You mean "interface" right?

I HAVE SAME PROBLEM WITH PCI 424 , 1224 AND 2408 MK 2 ON 64 BIT WINDOWS VISTA CRASHING MY COMP , SEPARATELY WORKS OK UNTI I WILL OPEN ASE/EBU OUT ON 1224 , HELP IF YOU CAN.

I don't have a suggestion for you, sorry. For me, the 2408 (original version) and 1224 both worked together with the 324 card, but that was on a PowerMac and OS 9. I don't know about Windows, but I never heard there was an inherent problem with the 2408 Mk II and 1224.
