I tried to but to no avail... I want to route an output to an input so that I can have my girlfriend listen to my productions in Ableton over Skype... I'm pretty sure this can be done in CueMix but I've never ever been able to reproduce it... if someone would guide me step by step I would be very very greatful.
Um, just connect 2 audio cables from the Main outs to two inputs. Pick one of the stereo pairs, such as 7 and 8. Then adjust those two input levels in the Inputs window. But before you do, make sure those 2 inputs aren't unmuted in the Outputs window for whatever "bus" is assigned to Main Out 1 - 2, or you'll get horrible feedback. Set Skype to get its audio from that input pair.
Oh wait. It is. I've only been using my Ultralite Hybrid for a week, so I'm still getting my head around it. But I was just rereading the manual, and it appears you can do this. Run the "MOTU audio console" utility. Look for the setting called "Return assign". Now I assume you're playing your project through the Main 1 - 2 out. If so, select "Main 1 -2" (from the dropdown list) for the Return Assign. Now go into skype's audio setup, where you choose an audio input from a list that skype presents to you. You should now see a new item in the list called "Stereo Return 1 - 2". (If you don't, try rebooting the computer). This is now your Main 1 - 2 routed back to the computer. Select this for skype's audio input.
I have similar issue where I can play wave files either from internet exploer or media players and they are going to the internal sound card, but I do not seem to have a wave in put as an option in CUEMIX DSP.
How can I route stuff playing on moedia players to by CUBASE vis CUEMIX DSP?
