Anyone still using original HUI with 7.2?
Hello first of all to everyone, and thank you for any help on my issue.
I am running DP 7.2 with a original Mackie HUI.
I will try to describe my issue as best as possible.
When I am running more than 8 tracks in the mixer window which is of course always,
and I use the bank keys on the HUI, while it does indeed move my faders to the next 8 channels, however it then makes all the other channels disappear in my mixer window in DP, I have to manually go back to the little drop down menu in the mixer window and select, load board layout>show all tracks, in order to get them all to show back up in the mixer window in DP. This happens every time I select the bank button on the HUI in order to bank over to the next 8 channels.
I would love to be able to hit "bank" on the HUI and it just bank over to the next 8 channels without it making all the other channels disappear from the mixer window in DP and only display the current 8 channels.
Any help would be so very greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Matt.

Re: DP 7.2 HUI fader banking issue
I'm using a Tascam console in HUI emulation and the bank switching is working very well.
I had to resize my mixer window to be 24 tracks and then it worked like a charm.
I'm switching banks of 24 tracks and DP is happy with this.
Maybe make resize your mixer window to show 8 tracks?
Probably not a great answer to your question, but DP7.2 is doing excellent HUI here.

Re: DP 7.2 HUI fader banking issue
I think I understand what your saying but I have to be honest I'm not sure.
I just don't understand why when I hit the "bank" button on the HUI it hides all the other tracks except the 8 that it is currently banked to, it should'nt in my opinion hide the other tracks but just simple bank over to the next 8 tracks in the mixer window, this really has me frustrated and confused, I would love to not have to go back in and select show all tracks every single time I hit bank on the HUI.
Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: DP 7.2 HUI fader banking issue
That is weird!
I don't understand why that is happening.
Just for a test...
What happens if you make your mixer window smaller so it only shows 8 tracks at a time?
Then when you do the bank switch, what happens?
Just curious.
Maybe some more knowledgeable HUI expert could chime in here.

Re: Anyone still using original HUI with 7.2?
well I just noticed something after sitting in front of this blasted screen for the last 2 hours trying to figure this out.
If I don't have the mix window selected, say for example I click on another window and have it selected then I can hit the bank button and it scrolls normally through the tracks without making anything disappear, however if I click back on the mix window and then hit the bank button then its back to making all but the 8 channels currently selected disappear.
Not sure what this means but man I could really use some help here on this one. Thanks.

Still on DP 4.61, with BCF2000 ...
Switching banks gives the same 'shows only the selected 8 channels'
Best

In the Mackie Control you can take off the SRLTRKS option in the pref menu of the Mackie Contrl. It's I/O-Prefs/SRLTRKS on the Mackie Ctl. Maybe there's a similar option in the HUI.

Re: Anyone still using original HUI with 7.2?
I tend to do so, that before clicking bank/preset(BCF2000) button I click mixer window. This way all the tracks in the sequence window stay visible. Of course then mixer window shows only 8 channels at time which are accessible through controller. That suits somehow my work flow, of course I would want it to work like Command 8 and Pro Tools. Active channels/tracks move one at a time left or right with bank buttons and all tracks are always visible in every window...

shift ( upper ) + bank will move only 1, don't know if DP will keep showing all...
...I've split my rig for live mixing and recording...
( glad to have a fader bank for 8 vocals now > BCF2000, and it will operate
independently from what I do on the touchscreen for the band )
Best
