Now hold on boys... there's was some good times as well in those days. The Atari ST was cutting edge, and who could forget the Amiga for animation?

Re: Screenshots of DP 2
What hooked me on Macs was my buddy's PM8600. RCA audio and video (and S-video!) inputs and outs on the back. Came with Avid Videoshop that opened with a splash screen that claimed anyone can edit video, which inspired the name of the production company
we had for the polka video we did in '98. Any Idiot Can© Of course, there was the reverse play hidden message in the chorus: Suck tha Beer! Probably why there was so much consumed during editing. That, and it being a polka video.
Anyway, fun stuff back then. Keeps getting funner.

Wow! That brings back memories. I had switched over from Master Tracks Pro. I remember telling people "Someday you'll be able to edit audio just like MIDI..." with a wistful faraway look.Frodo wrote: Here's an early version of Performer.

LOL--- you folks are showing my age!
So, in that light we might be in line for a DP theme more nostalgic (if not archeological) in nature. I say, give it a few weeks and someone will come up with a custom skin for a dot matrix GUI.

Very interesting observation. Now that cell phones are as commonplace as pencils (or as pencils used to be), it amazes me how many people avoid ringtones that are akin to Dick Tracy, or Star Trek, or Star Wars, etc. One of the most popular ring tones is the bell itself!willemeyers wrote:hey....I kinda miss that GUI!! how come that wasn't a "Theme" in 7.2?!?!!
