Motu Traveler mkI and Yamaha 01v96v2 VCM

Post by lemon »

Hi guys!

I'd like to expand my Yamaha 01v96 with 8 in- and 8 out-channels using the Motu Traveler mkI.
FOr this I have connected the 01v96 with the Traveler using 2 optical cables (=ADAT).
In Cuemix I have set up the 4 busses as following:
Bus 1: analog-in1 (panorama L) + an-in2 (panR)
Bus 2: an-in3 (panL) + an-in4 (panR)
Bus 3: an-in5 (panL) + an-in6 (panR)
Bus 4: an-in7 (panL) + an-in8 (panR)
Now when I attach a microphone to p.e. the Traveler's analog-in8 I get a signal on my 01v96's channel 24 (channels 17-24 are assigned to ADAT-In 1-8).
Till here it's ok.
But now I'm wondering how to set up the Traveler for handeling incoming ADAT signals. I have set the 8 busses on my 01v96 to ADAT-Outs 1-8.
But how should I configure the ADAT-Ins on the Traveler? I have already used all the 4 busses for configuring the ADAT-Outs?! I want to send the ADAT-Ins 1-8 to the Analog-Outs 1-8 on the Traveler.

Thanks for your help!

Since the Traveler has only four mix buses, this is not possible. If you had a Traveler mk3 you could do it because the Traveler mk3 has eight mix buses.
The leading cause of wrong answers is asking the wrong questions.
