iTunes and iPod

Post by andymcafee »

Here is an interesting situation that I need help with. I am using iTunes on a PC to download music files from the Apple Music Store and put them on an iPod. I would like to put these songs on my Mac, but when I connect the iPod to my Mac, I have no way to open the downloaded music files because they require an Apple username and password to unlock them. Since the Mac is not connected to the internet, I can't play them. Is there any way for me to store and play these files on my Mac without it being connected to the internet? In the past, I have tried recording the audio into DP and then exporting, but that is a bit time consuming and not accurate. I would appreciate any suggestions.

I tried dragging and dropping, but no luck. I tried burning the song onto cd, but I can't. Any ideas?

Nevermind. I figured it out. All I had to do was burn a cd on the PC and then import in iTunes on the Mac.

I believe you would only have to connect the mac to the internet once, in order to "authorize" it to play your purchased music. after this you should have no problem playing your music.
