896 and 8pre not holding optical settings

If i restart my PC, the optical settings return to "off" instead of the "ADAT" where i set them. Its a small annoyance, but becoming a PITA.

This is happening on win7 64 bit. Is there anything I can do? Maybe a registry setting I can mark?

Do you turn the ADAT interface, assuming this is the 8pre?, on first?
If not you should, that way when the 896 fires up it will find the 8pre.
I use an 828 Mk3 and a Focusrite Octopre and that's what I do, is turn the Octopre on before the Motu.
