Nope, SP only hears the built in output, even if my PCI 424 is selected in the sys pref 'sound' in and out.

If you have an external mixer, you can just send all the signal you want to a bus and make a physical connection from the mixer to the Mac's built in card. I've done it and it works fine.
Since I never use the built in card, the physical connection stayed like that for ever, so it will always be ready.
I didn't find any other way to make it work, but it wouldn't surprise me if I missed something obvious....

As for me,for record audio i using Macvide Audio Recorder http://macvide.com/Macvide_Audio_Recorder/.You can recrod many formats.Try it.

This did not work out to my liking, the resulting files are too big (against QT 10 screen recording) and when exporting to a smaller format either to .mov or .wmv with QT pro and Flip 4 mac extension, the audio is shifted from the video.chaim wrote:This:
