I have a yamaha 02r mixer with 3 tdif cards and 2 ADAT cards available. I have never been able to successfully interface the mixer to my 2408MkII. Present configuration is:
Slot 1/2 ADAT
Slot 3/4 TDIF
Specifically I want to enable basic record/playback functions into Logic 5.1 for Windows (yes its a dinosaur but its all that I have).
Can anyone provide me with a diagram and advise on proper setup of the mixer and 2408?

Re: How to Interface Yamaha 02r to 2408
Being that you have (3) TDIF cards and the 2408 has (3) TDIF ports, I would just use TDIF. Personally I've always felt TDIF was better as it will do 24/96 both directions on a single cable where ADAT optical is single direction and only up to 48kHz when dealing with 8-channels. Just connect port one on the O2R to port 1 (A) on the 2408. You have to make sure that the outputs on your tracks in DP are routed to the specific port and channel outputs on the 2408 to match up with the inputs on the 02R.
Thank you,
