Just an FYI.

Looks like the "Seventies Retro Grooves" loops pack is the same as a loop pack entitled "Retro Grooves" that I bought last year. Don't make the mistake of getting the former if you already have the latter.

There is a lot of stuff that was bonus material from previous GBs. I don't remember if the Retro Grooves was part of the "Rare and Vintage" GB, or not, but if you bought into that one then you should already have most of SampleArp Solo and assorted other stuff.

I really want Loop Slice versions of those "Seventies Retro Grooves". There is some awesome stuff in that pack, and I think it would have to be my favorite. But it is the only loop pack that is not sliced. :-(

I noticed that as well. I wonder why...

BTW, it took all of 30 minutes for IK to respond to my request to get a credit on this one. Good customer service, I have to say.

We're already at 5302, which means more than 300 people have joined since this time yesterday. With 9 days left, it looks like we will hit 6000 without too much difficulty.

I will be pleased if we manage it, because the last 3 freebies will give me all the remaining things that I don't have. I have overlaps in some of those packs, which is why I didn't choose them earlier, but I will be glad to acquire the content I don't have (at no additional cost).

Anyone who has older ST libraries be careful what you download.
In my sample dir. I had a file from 2008 called Rock Grooves.
I download Vintage Rock Grooves and its an identical library.

I Emailed support, got a reply back in about 10min saying no problem they would reactivate one of my downloads.
Got a love it when a company has a good support team.

So I've printed off my Dir's and going through them with a highlighter ,got it, want it, need it, to make sure I don't do it again.
Over the yrs I've download single sounds from esoundz as I've needed them so its a pretty big Dir. and easy to miss stuff.

Anyhow thanks IK :)

If?

You mean when.

It will hit 8x1 either later today or during the night (with still 5 days to spare). Only 88 more people are required.

Wouldn't you feel better about joining once more if you knew that you were a part of the crew that brought it up to 8x1? Only a few more hours to be a part of that crew.

It doesn't look like there will be any further extensions or bonuses this time. We are now in the final stretch.

However, Squids has confirmed that in addition to the free library they are offering, he WILL also be giving everyone who joined via eSoundz an extra 1GB library which is going to have a lot of previously unreleased content (even more unreleased content than he was originally intending to give away). Stay tuned. :-)

Do you mean I'm coming across like too much like too much of a salesman? Sorry about that.

I'd hate for anyone to think of me as a spammer, so I usually don't do any heavy cheerleading in this forum (or others) and just stick to the main GB threads on KVR. But you and others seemed kind of excited about this one, so I have been reporting back more than usual.

If you meant something else, then sorry to misunderstand. I'll pipe down now. :-)

No, no. I have been pumped about this to and you've answered many of my questions and I do appreciate it. I just meant the part about feeling better being part of the crew that made it reach 8 for 1. It's going to hit regardless that's for sure.

I bought the package and the dang thing isn;t working. It can't find it's sounds, it didn;t install folders where the installation manual says it should have, and it crashes DP when loading the sounds I can find. I have a message into tech support but for now, i am disappointed.

The installer is manual and when working with it, it reminds me of the original sample tank installer which was ancient man. This product feels old. if it works and doesn't crash me, it will be worth it for all the sounds, but it is surely a very old product and I think they are just blowing it out.

Okay, cool.

As far as Group Buys go, it is definitely a concept built on group participation. I have taken part in a lot of eSoundz GBs and I appreciate the concept of helping to encourage others to join, to build up the numbers, in order for there to be continued and increased bonuses for everybody. It becomes a win-win situation. And this GB, in particular, is one of the most out-of-this-world bargains that I have ever seen, since I have had a lot of the content in this GB in my collection for several years now, and know how good some of these instruments can be.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. I have found the ST installer to be pretty simple and trouble free. The installer doesn't install any library sounds.

Your crashes are probably related to trying to load COMBIs in the top window which are MULTIs which refer to ST sounds that you don't have. In order for SampleTank to find your instruments, you need to click on PREFS (on the right hand side) and select the library location. Whatever sounds you install or just drag into the folder which you select in the PREFS will be available to you in SampleTank as soon as you hit RELIST.

SampleTank 3 will be coming out before to long and will probably much more to your liking. The good thing about these sounds is that you will be able to continue using them in the new SampleTank for years to come. And there is some really cool stuff here. :-)
