Proverb IR"S

hi:

I'm trying to load some user IR's into ProVerb. I looked in the DP7 manual on page 912-913 and I saw where the user and shared directories are located. I created a folder in the shared directory and copied the IR's there. But when I open an instance of ProVerb, every preset option other than "factory" is still greyed out. Is there a Preference I need to change, or am I missing something else?

I know, it's confusing. What you have to do is have your DP project
open, open an instance of Proverb, open the Proverb GUI window, and then drag your user IR's, one at a time, directly onto
the Proverb interface. As you do this, you will see that you can drag
them into either the project folder (so they belong only to this particular
project), or the shared folder, so they'll be available for any project.

Once you drag a bunch of IR's into the Proverb interface, and then close
your project and quit DP, you can go back to the shared folder and you will
see one .dat file which is all your user IR's. You won't see them individually
listed.

I recommend pulling the IR's you installed in the shared folder out of that
folder first, then follow the steps I mentioned above, to get them into
Proverb.

Thanks. after I posted this, i did some further reading and saw what you described. I have Acousticas Lexicon 300 IR's. I have to drag each WAV into the window? Wow. There's like 87 WAV's in each folder, and there about 6 folders!

Yep, that's how you have to do it. Tedious, for sure. But you'll be
glad you did it.

By the way, if you have a PC, you can create your own IR's with this really cool product:

I like PV but this is the main reason I love Altiverb... you have easy access to your IR's all within the browser @ all times.

I spent a bunch of time arranging my third party IR's into folders and sub folders, basically by copying DP's stock IR set (in package contents) and replacing names and such, then pasting into the User set. A lot of work, but way cool results.
FYI: One can drag multiple wav files into Proverb to create many IR files at once.

I have an IR folder on my desktop.

Inside, I have folders - Lexicon, TC Electronics, Real Spaces, etc...

It was a pain to create but since I'm used to it it works well.
