Post by Neverywhere »

Having a little problem installing drivers for a timepiece mtp av in xp .

The readme text says i should install this driver called motuUSB.inf which should have come with the download from the Motu site.( i use a serial to usb cable)

However, just can't find the thing.....please some tell me what i am doing wrong? Or is it a common problem?

Hope you can help.

Ah...nevermind...it's the cable serial to usb that's the culprit...

However, you can help me with something else.....how the h*** do i store a preset using the timepiece as a standalone device?
Read the manual i hear you say.......don,t have one....bought it secondhand from ebay.....thought it would be easy to find a pdf version of the manual.....well.....not really.

So that is why i ask you guys for some help.

Greetings from Holland.

Free user run board. No guarantee of an answer. You could always ask MOTU tech support.

You can save base setups from the front panel by turning the Windows knob until you get to the BASE-SETUP NAME screen. Use the Cursor knob to move the cursor. Use the Value knob to change characters. Press the Enter button to save.
The leading cause of wrong answers is asking the wrong questions.
