Hi, this is the issue I'm having:
After I've loaded some samples into a player (in today's case EW Play using Storm Drum 2 but it's happened in Kontakt 3 as well using other libraries) and I start playing them on the keyboard, at some point they may randomly change and sound as if a Low Pass filter has been applied to the sample. It seems the only way to fix it is to just reload the sample which obviously gets rather annoying in the middle of working as it usually happens multiple times. Does anyone know why this is happening?
I am running:
DP 5.13
MacOSX 10.5.8
8-core 3.2 GHz
12 GB RAM
Thanks!
Bizarre sample issue

Re: Bizarre sample issue
Is it possible you have duplicate MIDI notes causing the samples to phase and thin out.

Re: Bizarre sample issue
no it's not a phasing issue. this happens when nothing has even been recorded yet. It happens when there are a lot of samples loaded, but nothing the computer hasn't handled before. It's just really strange cause it literally sounds like a low pass filter is suddenly put on just the one sample I happen to have record enabled...

Gads! There are more "new" problems recently than I've ever experienced. This is also a new one on me. I'm going to think about it throughout the day and see if any clues come to me. Meanwhile, is there ANY other information you can give us that might be a clue?

Stormdrum has mod wheel programmed to adjust a filter, as do some other libraries. Check to see if you inadvertently had the mod wheel open when these instruments were record enabled.
