continuous data

Post by MichaelL »

Hello All,

None of my VI's are responding to continuous data, whether created by the "create continuous data" command, or with my UC-33e.

The data appears on the track, but the instruments (Play, Kontakt, Ivory) don't respond.

Am I missing something simple?

Thank you,

Michael

Thanks for your reply Mark.

I'm not sure what you're experiencing, but in my case the answer was embarrassingly simple -- just enable automation on the MIDI/data track.

Cheers,

yeah my automation was already enabled...the sustain is triggered by my pedal and shows in the MIDI editor...but it doesn't sound...i tried the keyboard piano in DP and the sustain actually works...but not when I use the sustain pedal...weird...used to work fine...not sure what changed...plugged my sustain pedal into the other jack on my keystation pro and the sustain was reversed

.

Have you tried checking the Automation Setup dialog box? Perhaps the parameters that are not responding properly are unchecked there?
This would explain why you SEE them but can't hear them affecting things. I don't know what the sustain pedal would look like with it off (unchecked), but lines would appear as broken lines.

checked the automation setup and everything's checked...strange though, when I opened up a project today the sustain pedal just worked...and I don't know why
