It appears that the firewire drivers for Windows 7 64 bit have not fixed MIDI issues. Stuck, missing and erroneous MIDI notes occur in my Yamaha MO 8 keyboard and TC Helicon Voiceworks using TI chip regardless of the combination of drivers I use at any buffer size smaller than 1024 for Ultralite mk3. Audio issues occur unless the buffer is at least 256 samples. These issues occur whether I use the 3.6.8.1410 or most recent drivers, and whether I use the latest Win, TI or legacy firewire card driver. Last Friday M Audio finally issued Win 7 64 bit drivers (beta) for the Midisport series and I connected my old 2x2. Now my system runs perfectly at a 64 bit buffer sample size.
What do you think, does this prove the bug is in the MOTU Win 7 64 bit driver? I posted a Tech Note Sunday that has not yet been read, and will report any response.
Midisport Indicates MIDI Issues Likely Due to MOTU Drivers
