Re: New drivers - 64fw-3.7.39083.zip
Additional work is needed on the drivers. No matter whether I use the 3.7.39083 drivers or the 3.6.8.1410 drivers I am unable to avoid stuck or missing MIDI notes at any buffers less than 1024. Yesterday m audio issued win 7 64 bit drivers for its midisport 2X2. I unhooked my Yamaha MO8 keyboard and TC Helicon Voiceworks from the Ultralite mk3, plugged them into the midisport, and can now run complex MIDI and audio and MIDI projects at 64 samples with no stuck or missing MIDI notes. I posted a techlink with the conclusion that the motu drivers are the cause. I will report any replies.

Not sure if you got it running but it might help others who run a firewire interface, so here it goes.uncled wrote:I installed the driver on Win7 X64 an I have no sound on any Application like the driver-versions before.
Windows 7 (x64) is a bit particular regarding the workflow of driver installation, I'm by no means a geek, but found the following to work on 2 of my x64 systems who also featured no sound at all, but cuemix and audio console were responsive and the interface changed bitrate etc, but, no sound.
Un-install the current Motu driver and reboot, change the OHCI driver (win device manager) to LEGACY driver and reboot.
install the latest Motu driver and reboot.
Power on the device, double check in CueMix if the channel faders are open, select in Windows audio mixer pannel which should be the default output, mostly it will assign the wrong (AES/EBU or headphone) output by default, change this to your needs and it should work fine.
On 2 workstations I can now use windows taskbar (speaker icon) controls to change channel assignments and when powering down the Motu 896HD while windows 7 x64 is running it doesn't result in a BSOD, which in XP was a sure thing.
From my opinion the Windows 7 x64 are the best drivers yet of the countless bad creations that were released in the past.
However, I'm Not stating here that they flawless and Motu can take a long holiday though

thanks for your respond.
I've done it like you discribed.
When I look at the Windows-Mixer, while playing back a MP3, I see that the "Main Out" meter is working...
But I have no sound yet
