Thanks Ron. I've put up a tech link with the info you suggested over at MOTU. Lets hope someone responds !
Meanwhile is there a chance you could post a link to that Beta driver they sent you ??? I'd love to get this thing working soon as I can.
cheers

Monstroon.
I would love to help so I hope you understand my hands are tied.
With a bit of luck you will have come to their attention by raising a TechLink.
Unfortunately no mate. MOTU insist on a confidentiality agreement and specifically forbid participants in the beta test program from re distributing test drivers. I think hanleah and I are pushing the boundaries of that agreement by posting information here at all.is there a chance you could post a link to that Beta driver

I see, I quite understand. Thanks for your advice so far anyway

Re: New drivers available: 3.7.37320
3.7.39083 now available ..
Re: New drivers available: 3.7.37320
It seems I'm one of the few people that have the MK3 Hybrid running smoothly with USB. Let me know how it works, I'm petrified to try this driver
.

Re: New drivers available: 3.7.37320
I've just installed the shiny new driver and it has already blue screened twice. I get the impression MOTU are not going to ever fix this issue

Re: New drivers available: 3.7.37320
That's horrid. What are you're system specs? Also did you have it running before this new driver?

Re: New drivers available: 3.7.37320
I have been running on a version 3.7.38980 & USB 2.0 for a few days now and it has been sweet.
So sweet in fact I'd not noticed they have released a slightly later version. 3.7.39083 as official. As TonyBy first noticed.
Looking good to me.

Re: New drivers available: 3.7.37320
I have now installed the latest version 3.7.39083.
I works fine, I think Motu finally got it made.
My system is Windows XP 32.
It runs fine on my laptop and my desktopsystem.
Great.

New Drivers =
Still Blue screens has since I bought the 828 mkii two years ago
Reduced available sample buffer size, now only 1024 max (presumably done to reduce pops and crackle where the buffer length is to large for playback)

Re: New drivers available: 3.7.37320
Well, I never play with my buffer sizes (always 128 here) and I'm using a Traveler mk3 with Cubase 5 .. I did the normal steps that I follow when updating the drivers...
Boot up PC with Traveler turned off
Uninstall Motu Drivers (using Win7 Control Panel -> Programs and Features)
Reboot PC
Install new Drivers (3.7.39083)
Turn on Traveler & let driver loading finish (Win7 64bit here)
Reboot PC once more for luck.........
Was using the new drivers with no problems at all for about 3 hours.
The last drivers that I used were also rock solid (about 2 releases ago) they never caused a single glitch over many weeks of use.
I'll have to test these for longer before I'm sure, but on my system, so far, these look good.

Re: New drivers available: 3.7.37320
How do you do that Tony?Uninstall Motu Drivers
Reboot PC
Install new Drivers (3.7.39083)
My version of the driver installer does not have a separate uninstall. It will only uninstall and re-install in one single operation.
I can get rid of the actual drivers, WDM, ASIO and MIDI (Gsif drivers do not install) using windows device manager but how do you get rid of cuemix, audio console and the stupid pedal handler?
Thx.
Re: New drivers available: 3.7.37320
Hi Ronald.
Win 7 64 bit here.
I use windows "Programs & Features" I think it's called .. in the control panel. It's the modern equivalent of "Add / remove programs" in XP.
There is only one entry in there after installation .. "Motu bla bla" and when I select that, & click Uninstall, I'm pretty sure everything gets removed.
Now I could be wrong here .. I don't go looking for the programs in between, I just do the steps as above.. but after uninstalling & then reinstalling, I always have to recreate the shortcut that I like to put on my taskbar, to the Motu Mixer, (pin to taskbar) which I guess means that the program itself must have been removed & replaced.
Either way, uninstalling & reinstalling this way was trouble free (ie no funny messages) and it all seems to be working just fine.
PS Thanks Ronald .. steps in original post were vague, so I've edited that now.
PPS A couple of huge sessions this weekend & all very stable.

3.7.39 is working for me and my 828 mkii USB win7 /64b so far. Only run for a couple of hours all together but no bluescreen yet.
Keeping everything crossed.
