Micro Express Parallel Help needed

Post by mia.max »

Hi Community,

I have bought an old "Micro Express" MOTU MIDI Interface (Parallel) over Ebay.
Unfortunately I'm using Windows 7 64bit and it seems like MOTU has no Driver for the parallel port for 64bit.

As I don't have a manual: Is there a way to program this thing directly on the hardware ?

To sad... i fear I just bought a useless MIDI Interface ...
cause I bought this one as a replacement for my AMT8 which isn't working eighter on a 64bit system.

Any answer would be great !

I've been using my Micro Express Parallel with 98 then XP for years - works great. Presumably there is no way of getting it to work with Win 7 64-bit via a USB adapter or something?

Windows 7 and Windows Vista don't support parallel devices, so you'll need to get a USB MIDI interface.
The leading cause of wrong answers is asking the wrong questions.

Yep, I know, but there are USB/parallel converter cables...

It's a long shot since there are probably no MOTU drivers for the Micro Express Parallel but I thought I'd ask.
