Greetings,
I have a one hour plus multitrack mix @ 48k-24 bit which is to be married to HD footage. This and the video footage was not shot to timecode and will be joined manually/visually after the post video editing is complete. I am 5 songs into the DP mxing session. I was told before hand by the film crew that they were at 30fps and this is what I started my DP session at. I just learned after the fact that the video footage is actually at 29.97 fps.
My question is; will this cause my audio to get off sync from the video as the time progresses? Should I now change to 29.97 fps? If I do change now from 30 fps to 29.97, will this cause any of my timing sync to now change and will I need to move audio around?
Regards,
Keith

Re: DP Audio Session for Video
One Second is still One Second, no matter how many frames into which you divide it. If you are lining things up visually, without timecode reference, you won't notice any difference because there won't BE any difference!
