low input signal ultralite

Post by frolix »

Hi all,

I'm trying to hook up my AKG perception 220 to one of the 2 XLR inputs but I'm getting a really weak signal in Live (8.1.1). Even with the trim on max I get almost nothing. 48V is on. I'm kinda new to this and am probably missing something but I need it to work soon and can't find any solution ... Anybody got some suggestions?

Respectfully,

Frolix

I'm not too familiar with this interface, but chances are that you need to make sure you are using Mic and not Line level. There should be a switch or option that allows you to select between Mic and Line level. Hope this helps.

Have you checked to see if the Pad is in circuit? I am not sure how it is switched on the Ultralite.... but the indicator light should show if it is on or off, make sure it is off.

Cheers

tx for the response!

Pad is off i'm sure ... can't find any button or switch to change to 'mic-level' ... Mics are working fine on my mbox, so it's not them ... frustrating problem
