NI Kontakt 4, Scarbee EP and bass question

As I use DP to make jazz arrangements, I receive last infos from NI . As I already use Ivory piano and BFD2, I find my bass and EP the weak points in my system. So if I upgrade to Kontakt 4 , there is a new upright bass, and from time to time I suppose a finger bass and a fretless is usefull, but maybe is it better to buy Pre-Bass or Jay-Bass? I shall buy the new Scarbee EP for playing Jazz Samba, Bossa, ...

So I shall buy the new EP, AND Kontakt4 upgrade OR one of these Scarbee Bass package and which one? By advance thanks for your advises.

I assume you have Kontakt 3.5? Just buy the Scarbee Pre-Bass or Jay-Bass (I prefer the Pre-Bass, but I own both) and the EP (which I don't have) and hold off on the upgrade for now. Be advised, though, that neither bass libraries are acoustic basses, though both basses are DI versions, meaning, you can run them through amp processing software to get whatever tone you're looking for. I'm running Pre-Bass through IK's Ampeg bass amp plug and I can achieve a lot of different sounds to fit whatever I'm working on. You can also run Pre-Bass and Jay-Bass direct, like a lot of people tend to do with real basses, and still get a great sound.
