Hmmm. Not home now. I walked out the door leaving Safari dowloading the first two large zip files. I'm anxious to go see if they've stalled.
I'm also posting this with the Tapatalk iPhone app. Cool stuff.

No problems downloading or installing. I know that sometimes Safari has had problems with the unpacking process, you could try downloading without automatically opening the files.
The sounds are kind of just like the demos, imagine that! Not really my taste, but for $20 there's nothing to complain about.

Keeps the resource forks intact... servers can cause all types of havok on mac resouce forks.bongo_x wrote:Most of the files are small, there are a couple big ones. The download went pretty fast.
A new record has been set for zip files inside of zip files, it's like Russian nesting dolls.

I never thought of that, that makes sense now that you say it.newrigel wrote:Keeps the resource forks intact... servers can cause all types of havok on mac resouce forks.bongo_x wrote:Most of the files are small, there are a couple big ones. The download went pretty fast.

Tell ya one thing, The Slate team is on it. Just got a response, 10 minutes after I sent the email, and they are sayin' it's a server thing likely. They also said, don't worry about the 3 day time limit. They'll make sure it's right for everyone. All I need now is for some one to teach me patience as I am totally pumped to try these thingsDan Walsh wrote:

Patience is a virtue, but she won't always wait.

You could make your own thread and lock everyone else out.Dan Walsh wrote:Tell ya one thing, The Slate team is on it. 4th download was charm.
Got it all now. Excited to try these tomorrow. I've got EZ Drummer, but I'm starting to see some limitations. This will be a good test to see whether I wanna bump up to Superior or go down the Slate path.

Re: Steven Slate Drums EX as AudioMIDI no-brainer deal at $20
So---I got eveything installed and it's all workin' right with DP. With this download, there were also a bunch of MIDI grooves included. Is there a way to preview these grooves within the Kontakt Player? I've been reading all the manuals but I can't figure it out. In EZ Drummer, you can audition grooves before you drop em' in.
I've tried droppin' the grooves that came with the download, and they work fine. I really wanna hear em' first though. If Kontakt doesn't allow this, is there another way....
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm still learnin' this stuff...

Re: Steven Slate Drums EX as AudioMIDI no-brainer deal at $20
I know it's only $20, but after re-listening to their demos, I decided against it. Maybe if I wasn't so close to the Danger Zone on ALL of my hard drives at the moment...
Anyway, I look forward to feedback from people on this forum, as you are people whose judgment I actually trust, compared to other forums that I casually scan now and then.
