There've been some pretty crazy lawsuits out there, but I don't think corporations can "own" color schemes. Copy their interface design, then you've got trouble. But their colors? I doubt it. I'm no lawyer, but I think you're on safe ground.

On the other hand, you might make a detail or two different enough that a screenshot doesn't cause Ableton's lawyer to send a cease and desist letter to MOTU. Shouldn't be too hard to do. That's up to you, of course. I'm almost positive that nobody can own colors.

[edit] Just looked at Live again. Not a chance. Sorry to have taken your joke on the serious side. There's absolutely nothing to worry about.

It may be time for me to look for a more serious webhost. NoMonthlyFees.com just isn't cutting it. Any suggestions?

I've been with them for 3 1/2 years. I pay $60 every QT, though. I know there are other options out there and less expensive but, I've never had any issues with them. When I had questions, I just got on the live tech support chat and they are fast. Available 24/7.

The only problem with that is it kills the ability to have Markers in the Control Panel, since I can't alter the color of the font DP uses for that.
