bus that canot support this transfer rate

Post by motujack111 »

I have worked to setup my new 828 mk3 for the last 4 days. I just want to use the motu like a DAC and for it's EQ along with a windows music software "mediamonkey or winamp" compatible ASIO driver.
I have conected my PC on firewire (StarTech 3 Port IEEE-1394b, 800 or 400 compatible) to the MOTU. I've updated the latest firmware and 32fw-3.7.37320. Unfortunately, i am only capable to open the Audio console but not the CueMix or SMPTE. The error message keep appears "the device is on a bus that canot support this transfer rate". Mother board is ASUS PAPEX E1303, 1Go of RAM on windows xp sp3.
At this point, i do not know if it is a hardware problem or software?

In mediamonkey i see the asio driver but the configuration capacity are limited. Do i have to use Cubase?

I get that error now and then if I forget to turn on my MOTU device before my computer. I also get no audio at times when I forget that I have the MOTU set default for 48K while the computer comes up at 44.1k. Is your FW card using a TI chip?
