Re: AmpGUI7 (now at AMPGUIMODS.COM)
Downloaded and installed it.
First reaction "OUTCH" and I just sat there and stared for a minute.
As much as I love Gold Complete, this one looks like a sofisticated version of it.
It´s easy on the eye and awesome pretty. Love the yellow/gray touch. It´s looking serious in a positive way.
Well Amplidood, Your GUIs are such a big part of the great experience and joy of using DP, to me they are worth more than any plug in I ever bought. Gotta donate again.

Re: AmpGUI7 (now at AMPGUIMODS.COM)
Wow! Looks awesome, Andy! Can't wait to try this one out. Only small suggestion I was going to make was maybe center-justifying the rec/mute, etc. buttons when using the lower case labels, but since I havent installed it not sure if I'll feel the same way once I've seen it.
Still... quite impressive from the screen shot!
P.S. Looking closer at the screen shot of the faders: the level indicators look grey on grey? That's not right I wouldn't think?

You just keep cranking them out Andy, I still think MOTU should hire you or pay you to be able to add your mods to their stuff. Good job and I have been enjoying using them. for working with I mostly use the Tempered skin.
I would like to add that if some of you really like the mods it would be cool to donate to Andy so he can keep it up and to say thanks for your hard work.

Re: AmpGUI7 (now at AMPGUIMODS.COM)
Thanks guys. I've been thinking if I should approach MOTU again... they've been slowly opening the door on this stuff and it's encouraging.
There's only three real items left on my GUI wishlist...
1. The white boxes on the automation mode buttons. They are there to hide the popup arrows from the stock gui, and must be hard coded somewhere.
2. The color of the meter frames in the mixer. The DefaultStyle parameter affects meters everywhere else but there.
3. The ability for text to use more area in buttons. With the popup arrows gone there's a lot of space that could be used, especially when in Narrow mode on the mixer.

Thanks again andy. Probably download mellow when i go home, think i like it more than gold. Question for you though, is it possible to have lit pan knobs? iperformer's mods do it, but i like yours a bit more. Just wondering.

Lit as in brighter, or like the aux knobs? Shooshie had the idea of gradient lighting on the pan knobs a while ago. I didn't dig the idea at the time, but I should try it just to see if it would work.strikingtwice wrote:Thanks again andy. Probably download mellow when i go home, think i like it more than gold. Re: AmpGUI7 (now at AMPGUIMODS.COM)
Yeah, in Gold and Jade, I set my pan knobs up to change gradually from green to red as you go from left to right. That's based on old ship-navigation lights ("red, right, returning" went the mnemonic) which were later applied to airplanes, too. So, I'm applying it to audio mixing! Works for me, but not necessarily a good idea for everyone. I like being able to glance at my mixing board and have it register instantly where every track is panned to, without having to actually look.amplidood wrote:Lit as in brighter, or like the aux knobs? I haven't decided whether to add that to Oxidized Mod, which I've used exclusively since it emerged. Probably will, since I really like being able to tell where things are at a glance.

Re: AmpGUI7 (now at AMPGUIMODS.COM)
Being a boat man and liking the idea of being able to have a clear view of my pans, I like your idea Shoo.
Andy what I wish you could do is to change the color of the input meter, the pop up one, why MOTU changed it to make it harder to see I do not know.
