SERIOUSLY!!

I've got the DVD loaded, but the remake of "We Are The World" just aired, so I had to check that out. Plus, I'm waiting for the opening ceremonies for the Winter Olympics (just because).

Why do I ache to hear "Ticket To Ride" right now? Something about downhill skiing overtakes me presently.

Side 2 of Abbey Road is "one sweet dream".

Oh-- if you must listen to it on youtube, try this and the related videos:

Aw-righty, then.

I've been concurrently watching the opening ceremonies from the Winter Olympics while scanning the DVD (and youtube) for the "Strawberry Fields" moment.

Try 8m 11s or thereabouts.

Was just listening to "All You Need Is Love".

On the fade vamp, I've identified the following excerpts:

1. Bach Two-Part Invention in F (played in the key of G to fit the track on piccolo trumpet)

2. Greensleeves-- played by the strings in unison/octaves

3. Macca belting "She Loves You" (of course)

4. Glenn Miller's "In The Mood" (saxophones)

Anything else?

Greensleeves and In The Mood I don't recall but the others yes. I always like hearing the Bach invention in there (a staple for the young pianist.)

Plugins--- for the Beatley-inclined:

ADT (Automatic Double Tracking)
Poor Plate (reverb)
RIAA Phono EQ

I think all of these are FREE. Certainly worth a try. I just ran across this and haven't had a chance to check them out--- but the price is right.

Then again-- they say that "you get what you pay for", so anything goes.

If you don't own a UB Mac in which direction do you scream?

...but there's no such thing as a non UB Mac (in OSX, anyway).

BTW-- you always scream in the direction of the stage!! The musicians always appreciate it.

Oh-- I downloaded the three plugins to my laptop. I have been using my MBP for some incidental recording of my piano practice sessions-- which were done (unintentionally) in mono. I just added ADT to the mono piano track and got a very interesting stereo effect. It's not something I'd recommend for every purpose-- but I like the results so far in Beatle terms (if you take my meaning).
