Is 7.1 ready for prime time

Post by scooter »

I'm kind of anxious to move up to 7.1. from 7.0.2.
There's some nice new features.
Is everyone fairly happy?

After installing the new PCI 424 audiodriver from http://www.motu.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (2/2-2010) everything is finally working great for me in DP7.1. :)
If you find it unstable you can always go back to 7.02 even with projects saved in 7.1, so you got nothing to lose really :)
Rock on!

It's working well for me. However, what you will learn once this thread is more than a day old is that everyone is NEVER fairly happy. It will always depend on who you're asking.

7.1 is very good for me. Once the overviews have finished rebuilding on old projects they open very quickly (on subsequent opening). Fx presets are fantastic.

I didn't realize that 7.1 is out already.

Hey word up to iPhone users. This forum is now easy to read and post to from your phone. Go to app store and search for Tapatalk. There's a free "RO" (read only) version and a $2.99 version that allows you to post, etc. which I am using now. Check it out. You can find this board in the New category and also under Browse > Music.

My iPhone popped up a message when I accessed the forum. Easy enough to access it from the iPhone Safari app but good to know it's there. Very glad to see MOTUNation included in the app list!

Was it an error? I'm accessing all the posts flawlessley with the Tapatalk app. What's great is it strips out unnecessary graphics and optimizes things for iPhone. It's faster than under iPhone Safari.

Not an error. When I accessed the forum in Safari, iTunes let me know the app was available and MOTUNation was compatible. Pretty cool. But I don't know if I could read the forum unless I see the avatars... :)

The AVATARS ARE THERE!! Seriously, download the FREE version of Tapatalk which is Tapatalk RO and TRY IT!! You can see avatars and even graphics in the posts. The graphics appears as thumbnails and you can tap them then enlarge them like any other iPhone graphic. It's really VERY COOL!!

So it seems like you gotta have the new audio driver, which sounds great to me that there is a new one, and old projects need to rebuild whatever, and then 7.1 is solid and rocks and if it doesn't 7.02 still is solid even with the new driver? Radiogal? Huh.
