I anyone using a tascam US-2400 with DP6 or DP7?

Post by busby »

Hello,
New to this list.
I have a Tascam US-2400 and am trying to find out how well it may or may not work with DP7 specifically, with any DP version 4 or after more generally.

Thank you!
Cheers,
Donn

It works great except for the joystick, and If I remember correctly, the jog wheel. No drivers are necessary.

+1, Yes it does work great. The Jog wheel works if you are clicked into the SE or tracks window. It only works as a locater though, not for scrub audio. Otherwise-works great.

I have one. Use it all the time. It is has been an extremely useful tool for me.

You can scrub with it, but not from the shuttle wheel. The shuttle wheel works, but you can't hear audio when using it for scrubbing.
To scrub you need to press play, then the scrub button while playing, then press the fast forward button. It will scrub forward with sound. If you try scrubbing backward it simply goes into slow rewind. So scrubbing seems to work in forward slow speed only. Does work though.
It seems you can scrub by simply hitting play, then fast forward, this seems to do about the same thing as using the previous button sequence I described.

If you have the desk space for this unit, and you need 24 faders up in front of you at all times, it is a good unit. To bad Tascam quite selling them.
