I've been having a blast!!
Well,
e Sounds made a package group buy for Ocean Way drums.
Now, in typoical NI fashion , or it may be e sounds, I found the downloading, authorization codes, and installation of the soft ware to be one of the most retarded experiences I could ever imagine!!
But man..
THE OCEAN WAY DRUMS ARE AMAZING.
The snares are fat and warm , the toms will shakes your house, the playability is first rate, so real man!!
I met the designer at NAAM this yr and he seemed proud of his product.
I too am proud.
Beware of the hassle of understanding e sounds crazy website for authorizations, good luck getting the software installed..lol...
But once you do...WOW!!!!!!
Nice.

Re: I've been having a blast!!
I'm in the same group buy and have not even attempted to download the files yet because I know that the esoundz process is kind of confusing and that there will be a metric ton of files. I may just cough up the $ for the DVD that they plan to sell with all of the sounds on it and install it then...toodamnhip wrote: Beware of the hassle of understanding e sounds crazy website for authorizations, good luck getting the software installed..lol...

Glad you are digging the drums though. That's something to look forward to!

Re: I've been having a blast!!
Thanks for posting this. I just ordered it and am still awaiting download instructions. I hire someone to do all my grunt work so I won't have to worry about the hassle of downloading.
Just kidding!

WOW...Me too!...I just bought the Silver Edition OWD and got it on thursday...much easier installing from DVD's no doubt...although a lengthy process for sure. The beautiful thing starting with the silver edition is the I-Map and V-Drum Maps...I have a Roland TD-20 and got everything up and running today...I am very impressed with these kits!

Re: I've been having a blast!!
Yeah i got this too.. Dipped into my DP7 upgrade fund for it..
Think i might make alot of use out of them.. They do sound very nice! Also look forward to trying out the Room IR's that come with it..
I haven't started downloading yet as the library will exceed my 10gb broadband download limit for the month and get me into trouble.

Re: I've been having a blast!!
They're still $99 and the demos sound terrific! Makes me want to get my Fibes out of storage.
They do list this in the FAQ:

They do list this in the FAQ:
Actually, that's not true. There was a lawsuit about that about 3 or 4 years ago and the software mfg lost. Just an FYI...Can I resell the sounds if I don’t use them?
No, the standard license agreement does not provide for a legal transfer of the license to use the sounds therefore they cannot be resold to someone else. They are licensed to the original purchaser only.

I got an email purchase response, but no link to a download.
What is the secret to downloading and authorizing?
Thanks.
All is well
