I did the Black Lion mod on my 24i/o. Which brings me back full circle to the beginning of this topic. After getting the mod, the 24 i/o went dead on me twice. I'm not blaming this on Black Lion. I have no idea what was going on with it. I've got it back again and am using it with my 2408mk3 and Black Lion's microclock. I have to admit that everything in my studio sounds really good. After all the thoughts on this topic I think I'll just stay with this set up and hope that everything keeps working. Thanks for all feedback!!!

Ferocious 64 channel SSL PCIe card? Are you interfacing to a console? Frodo what do you think about the UAD interface?
64 channels over FIBER OPTIC PCIe!! It's the only thing of its kind out there that I know of. DP's available buffers only go up to 512 now because the fiber optic is the first discreet two-way audio cable. That means that unlike other interfaces, the IN signal does not have to battle for throughput with the OUTPUT.
Can you set the buffers low enought to monitor inputs without any annoying latency? I'm considering SSL Alpha Link and Madi Xtreme 64, but the lack of direct monitoring worries me. According to the SSL website the roundtrip latency with Logic seems to be low enought. Is it the same with DP?
