I vote for sticking with Tiger. Leopard was a pit stop on the way to
Snow Leopard.
Just a thought - you can do backups manually with Carbon Copy Cloner in Tiger.
Time Machine just schedules them automatically. The process is the same -
clone your system drive to an external one. I do a CCC backup every other
day.
There was an issue with NI synths running poorly or not at all on a G5 in DP and Leopard. I'm not sure this was ever fixed.
Well, TM does "just" schedule them - every hour. Cloning and timed backups are two very different animals. And selective retrieval of specific files is certainly important. But I don't really care what OS he uses. Leo works GREAT for me and I recommend it highly.
Thank you once again , think I will stick with Tiger , I do use Kontact 3 and Battery 3 a lot , what is the old saying " If it ain't broke"
