Mach 5 II Standalone won't boot thoughts?

Post by conleycd »

Hey folks,

I'm running 10.5.8 and I just tried to load up my standalone version of Mach 5 II and no go. The plug in works but not the stand alone.

Thoughts?

Works fine here in 10.5.8. Delete the plist file and if necessary reinstall.

What are you getting? Crash at the splash screen? Crash at loading? No sound? No library?

Can you be more specific?

I'm just getting nothing. I double click on it and it does nothing. I click on it in the dock and it has the little blue light as though it is on then the light disappears.

I tried a re-install and still nothing...

I don't know where the plist is but I'll try deleting that and re-installing again.

It seems to be since I updated my MOTU drivers and DP 7.1 (I did both at the same time so who knows which is at fault).

I also repaired permissions - default for Mac.

WEll that's strange. Have you tried selecting the file and selecting OPEN from the file menu or as a control-click option? If you GET INFO on the APP what does it say? 0 bytes? That sounds more like an OS issue, IMO, or that you are trying to open some phantom icon that isn't really an app. Very strange! Time to call MOTU?
